Power saw
When cutting by hand use a guide like a mitre box to direct the blade.

To use a power saw clamp it to a level surface and ensure there’s room to move long pieces of timber, holding them against the fence to cut.

TIP To cut mouldings use a combination square to mark the high point where the saw blade touches first.
