Cough Suppressant Tea
Here's a nicer, cheaper alternative to commercial cough syrups, which may help you cope with a nagging cough.
 
Ingredients:
4 fresh sage leaves or
1 teaspoon dried
boiling water

Preparation:
In a standard teacup, steep the sage leaves in freshly boiled water for at least 20 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold.
 
Cough Suppressant
Gain a new appreciation of onions, garlic, ginger and honey after they conspire to stop your coughing.

Ingredients
1 large onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, finely diced
50 g finely diced fresh ginger
honey
 
Preparation
 
1. In a small saucepan, combine the onion, garlic and ginger. Add honey to cover and cook over very low heat for 30 minutes.
Then mash together and let cool. Strain and store in a clean jar with a tight-fi tting lid in the refrigerator.
2. Take 1 teaspoon every 15 to 30 minutes.

The cough remedy is an old and true one. My late mother used to make something similar when I was a child and it certainly worked well!
