There’s plenty to see here - the harbour boat parade, the arrival of the Governor of NSW, the NSW Premier’s message, a live concert featuring the original music of Nigel Westlake played by the Sydney Youth Orchestra, and the Australia Day Spectacular including a massive fireworks extravaganza over Cockle Bay.

175th Australia Day Regatta
Location: Eastern End of Sydney Harbour
Begins: 1:15pm
Cost: Free to watch
To mark the 175th Regatta, both traditional and classic yachts  (some up to 100 years old) will participate in this year’s historic event.

 

 

 

Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony
Melbourne Town Hall, Swanston Street, Melbourne


Begins: 10:30-11am


Cost: Free


Join the Victorian Premier, Governor, the Lord Mayor of Melbourne and the crowds on Swanston Street for the official Flag Raising ceremony.



Australia Day Voyages Concert
Location: Federation Square, Melbourne


Begins: 7pm – 9pm


Cost: Free


Performers at this annual event include the St Paul’s Cathedral Bell Ringers, the Australian International Music Ensemble, Sheeka, MCs Razor and Murky Waters, the Itchy Feet Brass Band, the Balkan Goat Horn Bagpipe Quintet, Horn of African Cultural Groups (from Ethiopia, Somalia, Oromo and Eritrea), The Sunbury Divas, Tenzin Choegyal, Mal Webb, Bombay Royale and many more surprises.
