Australia Day in Brisbane

Australia Day Festival
Where: The Parklands South Bank, Brisbane
When: 10am
Cost: Free
Be entertained with live music, a vibrant stage program and creative, hands-on activities. The annual Multi-Faith Ceremony will take place at 10am, followed by the traditional Flag Raising Ceremony at 11am. This will conclude with a 21-gun military salute and flypast from one of our new fighter jets, the F/A-18F Super Hornet. More info
 
AusSounds Concert
Where: The Parklands South Bank, Brisbane
When: 5pm–7.30pm
Cost: Free
Experience a live outdoor concert on the banks of the Brisbane River, headlined by the X Factor’s Christina Parie. There’ll also be a live radio broadcast to attempt a Guinness World Record for the most people singing live on radio. After the concert, the sky will light up for a spectacular fireworks display. Perth's spectacular fireworks display is one of the largest in the nation, attracting hundreds of thousands of people. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating the Australian Spirit’.
