In 2012, Australians trust people who are genuinely good, who are consistently the “real deal” in everything they do both in their private and public lives, and who make us feel safe. The results of our Most Trusted poll reveal how important our core values of trust – humility, sincerity and honesty – remain. When a person appears to lack these values, we won’t buy their story. And it’s a common response that plays out across the political, charitable, artistic, scientific, media and sporting arenas. We trust people in public life who are caring, do good for others and are dedicated.
