How to build behind-door shelves
Make use of space behind a door by measuring the distance between the door and the wall and subtracting 25mm for the maximum shelf depth.

Use a circular saw to cut 90 x 19mm pine for seven 800mm shelves and two 2000mm sides. From 42 x 19mm dressed all round (DAR) pine cut three 800mm hanging strips, two 2000mm side trim pieces and a 754mm top trim.
TO ASSEMBLE THE SHELVING drill pairs of 2mm countersunk pilot holes through each of the sides into each shelf and hanging strip, securing with PVA adhesive and 40mm x 8g timber screws.
Attach the trim with 40 x 2mm bullethead nails, setting the heads below the surface and filling with timber putty before painting.
TO HANG THE SHELVING use a stud finder to locate the wall studs, drilling 5mm clearance holes through the hanging strips and 2mm pilot holes into the studs, securing onto the wall with 65mm x 8g timber screws.
