Cleaning a Drill
Power drills last years if kept clean and dry
Most trouble occurs in the chuck, which can become clogged with grit or rust, so keep it working freely with an occasional squirt of dry lubricant such as Selleys Ezy Glide. Remove the chuck for cleaning by inserting an allen key into the screw at the chuck base, tightening the jaws around it and twisting anticlockwise.
TIP: Upgrade an older drill with a keyed chuck by replacing it with a keyless unit.
