Countdown2Cash FAQ

What is the Reader’s Digest Daily Sweepstakes?
Reader’s Digest Daily Sweepstakes is an ongoing sweepstakes that gives away a $4000 monthly prize. Registered users can enter every day of the month to maximise their chances of winning. A winner is chosen at the end of each month from the entries received.

How does the Reader’s Digest Daily Sweepstakes work?
First, users must register for the sweepstakes here www.countdown2cash.com.au. Upon successful registration and confirmation of email address, users will receive an email daily with that day’s sweepstakes entry code. Users must go back to the Reader’s Digest website, enter the daily code and finish the daily entry process by following the directions online. Users can complete the daily entry process every day of the month for an additional daily entry – thus users can have as many entries in the monthly sweepstakes as there are days that month (31 entries in January, 30 entries in April, etc.). The more entries users have, the more they maximise their chance of winning that month’s prize. At the end of every month, a winning entry is selected from all of that month’s entries, and a new monthly sweepstakes starts with the first day of the next month.

Do people really win in the Reader's Digest Sweepstakes?
YES! We've awarded prizes to more than 200,000,000 winners around the world since we started the sweepstakes in 1962. Every month, more and more lucky entrants join our winners list -- and we won't stop awarding prizes until every last prize dollar has been given away.

Does saying YES to your offer help my chance of winning?
NO! You have the same chance of winning a prize regardless of whether or not you say YES to our offer. Why does Reader's Digest use sweepstakes in its promotions? Simple. Sweepstakes have been a part of the Reader's Digest tradition for as long as we've been around. In fact, our company founder DeWitt Wallace created this mission statement for our sweepstakes nearly 80 years ago: Reader's Digest has Sweepstakes because they add spice to life. Because people like them. Since Sweepstakes generate interest, people are more likely to notice the exceptional appeal and quality of Reader's Digest products. It really is that simple.

Does my address need to be correct?
YES. Reader's Digest makes every effort to notify and award the winners. However, incorrect entry addresses can delay prize award. Incorrect addresses should be changed on the entry before submitting.

Do I really need to reply by the deadline date?
YES! Only entries returned by the deadline date are eligible to win prizes. Entries submitted even one day late are not considered for winner selection.

How do I claim my prize money?
Once we confirm the winner's details, a prize cheque will be mailed to the winner.

When will I receive my prize?
We understand our winners's excitement about winning money, so we promise to deliver the prize money as quickly as possible.

How quickly can I tell friends and family that I've won a prize?
It's a good idea to share this good news with family and close friends right after you receive notification. You can view names at www.readersdigest.com.au/winners right after the draw has been done.
