13. Set out holes for services in the sink cabinet. Mark out inside the cabinet (making allowances for backs or ends) and drill necessary holes with hole saws and/or spade bits. Position the cabinet and pull the cables through. TIP: Ask your plumber to allow adequate pipe length in order to prevent the inside of the cabinet being burned by his oxy torch when he returns to connect up.
15. Clamp panels to the island bench cabinets, then scribe and plane to fit. Do one panel at a time and fix them to the cabinets using 28mm screws. TIP: Ensure all end and scribing panels are supplied slightly oversize for scribing (6-10mm). Allow more if your walls and floors are really out of level or plumb.
17. Refit the doors and, using the correct screwdriver, adjust them so all the gaps and margins appear to be consistent.
14.Fit end panels by clamping them to the cabinet, then scribing to the wall and floor using packers and pencil. Trim the panel to size with an electric planer, then screw fix in position.
16. Cut and fit the kickboards. Fit and scribe them to the floor if necessary, then fix them to the plinth bases, using construction adhesive.
18.Fit the handles by making a jig to ensure accuracy. Place a block behind the door to prevent breakout where the drill comes through. Remember to use a sharp bit.
