For moisture-damaged exterior timber use a specialist hardener to restore the rotted fibres to near-original strength and a timber filler to finish.
How to fill rotted timber
 ●1 REMOVE THE ROTTED SECTION with a hammer and chisel and leave the timber to fully dry out for four weeks, covering to protect from rain. Drill a honeycomb pattern of angled 5mm holes into damaged area.
