Cauliflower is an annual plant that’s easily grown from seed. The white stems and flower heads are low in fat, high in dietary fibre and vitamin C, and can be cooked or eaten raw. Normally the outer green leaves are removed, although they’re edible and good for broth

Plant
Feeds in moist and compost-enriched soil, sowing them from February to June in hot climates, or in any cooler months.

Grow
For about 10 weeks, never letting the soil dry out. Toss the leaves onto the compost heap if you’re not going to eat them.
