Cut the sides and base for the frame of this chalkboard using a handsaw or jigsaw, from 1500 x 42 x 19mm pine dressed all round (DAR) and the top from 90 x 19mm DAR pine. Sand all the parts using 180 grit abrasive paper then assemble using dowel joints.
Apply two coats of chalkboard paint on the 6mm plywood backing.
To hang the chalkboard, mark the centre of the top then use spade bits to drill a 22mm hanging hole and decorative 16mm holes either side.
