Eating five serves of vegetables a day may seem like a daunting prospect, but it's actually very doable. As I've written before, if you fill half your dinner plate with veg that's at least three of those five serves. Which means you're already over half way there.

You then just need to look for opportunities to include extra vegies in your day. This could mean:

  • adding some extra salad to your sandwich at lunch
  • grating half a carrot onto your morning muesli (it really is delicious)
  • eating half a punnet of cherry tomatoes mid afternoon instead of raiding the biscuit tin
  • having hummous and slices of tomato on your morning toast, instead of vegemite

There are actually many, many opportunities to get your five serves of vegetables. you just need to look around you and think outside the square.

How do you get extra vegetables in your day?
