Camp in the great outdoors
Forget fancy hotels! Grab a billy, tent, sleeping bag, mossie spray and a six-pack of two-minute noodles and Oprah will be set for a week of camping bliss. Snakes and spiders come free of charge.
Visit a local Pub or RSL Club
After a hard day of sightseeing, what better way for Oprah to unwind than with a $10 steak and schooner combo at the local pub or RSL club? Followed by a few spins on the pokies, of course!
Take BIG stopovers
Oprah’s road trip around Oz wouldn’t be complete without stopping for a photo op at each of Australia’s oversized animal or fruit statues. Oprah and friends could pose outside the Big Prawn in Ballina, marvel at The Big Pineapple in Noosa, and stop for a smoothie at the Big Banana.
Sunbake on Bondi beach
Nestled amongst the thousands of tourists, backpackers, bodybuilders and Sydney hipsters, Oprah can spend some time unwinding on Sydney’s most famous beach. Grab your "sunnies", coconut oil, favourite mag (O magazine, of course), and a comfy towel; and don’t forget, Slip, Slop, Slap!
Get trendy on Brunswick Street, Melbourne
Stepping away from the tanned Aussie beachgoers in Sydney, Oprah can increase her cool factor at grungy Brunswick Street in Melbourne. Full of vintage stores, bookshops and arty cafes – Oprah will feel like she’s taken a wrong turn into Europe.
Eat a pie at a football match
Nothing says Aussie more than devouring a Four’N Twenty pie and a tinny of your favourite brew while screaming your guts out at a football match. League, AFL, union, soccer; Oprah’s sporting choices are endless Down Under.
Backyard Barbie
Oprah can say goodbye to her Aussie mates at a traditional backyard Barbie. They think we like to throw shrimps on the barbie – so let’s show them how it’s really done... light up the coals and chuck on the essentials - snags, steaks and prawns. Singlets, thongs and stubbies are compulsory!
