Refinish a deck
While most decks need a maintenance coat of oil twice a year or stain every year or two, higher levels of pigment and better moisture resistance help quality finishes last longer and give better protection.
Share it A quality formula resists abrasion, doesn’t fade when exposed to UV light and holds up to heat, cold, wind and moisture. If in doubt test it first.
DECKING OILS enhance the natural colour and bring out the grain and characteristics of quality timber. The oil nourishes the surface and prevents it from splitting.
DECK STAIN contains pigment and is used to enhance or alter the colour, particularly when boards start to grey, which happens naturally over time. Stains often have added benefit of oil in a combined product that can be applied using a long-handled brush, a roller or lambswool pad.
TIP Deck stain can also be applied with a spray gun.
